Snow Day

I woke up today, after having four days off for Thanksgiving, ready to tackle Monday and ended up having an old fashioned snow day! We had our first snow storm of the season and it was a good one- no easing into winter for this corner of New Hampshire!

The first snow always looks so beautiful, and a little snow makes all the Christmas decorations outside look more festive.

I spent a little time outside this morning clearing the driveway. The trees look so pretty blanketed in snow.

Afterward,I warmed up inside with a homemade Peppermint Mocha. I used my Keurig. First I added a couple of scoops of hot cocoa mix and hit the hot water button, then I added a pod of the Walmart Great Value Peppermint Mocha coffee (they only carry in the winter and it’s under $4/box) and made a regular sized cup, I topped it off with a big dollop of whipped cream-so yummy!!

I spent the afternoon binge watching Hulu and relaxing- gosh, it was so nice! Now, it’s snowing again and we are expecting a foot of snow tonight!!!
